The Club Regina at Westin

We are members of Club Regina and have visited this resort several times. It remains one of our favorite places to stay in Puerto Vallarta. The architecture of the resort is very beautiful. The resort buildings frame the center courtyard and all rooms face the beach with magnificent ocean views. The center area is filled with a lush garden of tropical plants and beautiful flowers. The swimming pools are also located here. There are several large interconnected swimming pools and they take up a very large area. You will never find these pools crowded. Another plus is that the pools are heated and nice and warm on cool winter days, allowing you to swim and enjoy the bright sunshine anytime of the year!
The Club Regina Resort is located directly adjacent to the hotel. Guests at Club Regina share all the facilities of the Westin. Both share common management.
See the above photo. The timeshare condos are located in the buildings to the right of the lobby and the hotel in buildings to the left. All are multi-story high rise buildings. Obviously it pays to get a higher floor for unobstructed ocean views. The villas are two bedrooms with three baths. They can be separated by a lock-off door to create a one bedroom suite with two baths and a studio/hotel room, each with a private entrance. Each villa or suite has a mini-kitchen, dining area, living room with fold out sofa bed and an outside terrace providing a sea view. Each bedroom contains a king size bed. A large Jacuzzi tub is located outside on the terrace. We found the villas to be very spacious and construction of high quality. Due to the design of the resort, almost all villas have great ocean views. Each villa also provides a very well appointed mini-kitchen with a two burner range, refrigerator, dish washing machine, microwave, appliances such as coffee maker and blender and complete table service, glasses and cook ware. Tap water is purified and safe to drink. Daily maid service is also provided and it is very thorough including a nightly turn down service.
Club Regina has its own lobby and check-in desk separate from the Westin. When entering the main driveway, turn left onto the first road you encounter and drive along the side of the resort towards the beach.
The resort is located in PV's Marina district. Next door is the Mayan Palace. Down the street is the Marriott and the Velas Vallarta. This location is super convenient. It's only a 15 minute ride to downtown PV. For grocery shopping, the Sam's Club is located almost right across the street from the Marina. Want to dine out? Located along the sides of the Marina (rich folks park their sail boats here) are a collection of great restaurants including something for just about any taste. There is Mexican, Argentinean Steak house, Fajitas, Chinese, Seafood, Ribs, Ice Cream, you name it! We ate at several of these and NEVER once had a bad dinner. We are eagerly awaiting our next visit.
